Back in the mid 1970’s when I started pinstriping on a part time basis, a large percentage of
cars and trucks came from the factory with painted pinstriping on them. I spent
a lot of time in auto body shops replacing pinstriping on fenders, doors, and
other body panels to make the cars look whole again. It was great practice because
the colors and sizes of the pinstripes had to be matched to make the cars look “factory”
again. I finally built up enough of a customer base to begin painting full time in the early 1980's.
If you have a vehicle that has missing pinstriping on it, whether
original factory pinstriping, or hand painted striping done by someone else, I
can replace it for you. Also, if you have a vehicle with old faded pinstriping
on it, whether it’s straight line striping or scrollwork, I can refurbish it
for you to make it look nice and new and fresh again.

This motorcycle was plain black when my customer bought it. He had me do a complete hand painted pinstriping job to completely transform the look of the bike to what you see in the photos below. About a year later he had me pinstripe his new helmet to match the bike!

2015 Dodge Pickup
My customer asked me to paint the large graphic stripe on the side of this truck to emulate the look of the factory stripe on the 1970's Dodge Challenger. I taped the stripe off and painted it with a brush. He left the rest of the design of the truck up to me. The truck was only white and gold two tone before we began.
Hand Painted Pinstriping, Chevy Pickup
More freehand painted pinstriping. It's not often that I get to use green. It's not the most popular color for pinstriping and it was the color the customer wanted. I was more than happy to use it for a change!
Personalized with a monogram in Old English Lettering.
I painted over the "Z" with the same green I used in the pinstriping. It was originally red from the factory. I also added the orange highlights to the "71" to match the pinstriping.

Pinstriped Jeep
All of the pinstriping on this Jeep is hand painted, free hand. If it's getting annoying that I keep saying "this is hand painted", or "that is hand painted", I want to apologize. My web designer told me that if I use certain keywords my site will come up on more search engines! :)
The owner of this bike wanted me to incorporate the "ace symbol" into the pinstripe design.
Harley Davidson
Some hot rod style pinstriping on a Sportster. In the third photo down you can see we ran a pinstripe around the wheels to complete the look.
A TRUCK CALLED THE WITCH DOCTOR!
I was asked to create an intense, over the top pinstripe job, INSIDE AND OUT of this wild truck. The last
photo will show you a small pictorial I painted on the radiator cover which is underneath the hood of the truck in honor of its name... The Witch Doctor!
Below is a "before shot" of the interior. What can I say? My customer told me to "go crazy with it!
Ya, that's me outlining the flames on this Ford truck. This is a pretty damn cool truck.

As you can see this hot rod is still in the process of being built. All of the pinstriping on this car is 100% freehand.
FORD F-350 PICKUP
Some more hand painted pinstriping! And as always, it's completely freehand. I did the pickup truck shown in the following pictures for a long time loyal friend and customer. I've painted everything from cars, trucks, motorcycles, and even heavy equipment for him. We always work together on the basic design and layout, and he likes to have a say in the color combinations as well. He likes me to really decorate his vehicles to the fullest!
In the picture below you can see the faint grease pencil "guide lines" that I drew for the freehand lettering. When I took these photos the paint was still too wet to wipe the lines off.
1954 PLYMOUTH SAVOY
This very cool Plymouth was lovingly restored and customized by the owner who also did the paint job. It's always a lot of fun to pinstripe such one of a kind automobiles.
